Children from the Jamie’s Gang club responded to the problems of litter in the village. Suitable guidance was given to the children and protective gloves were handed out. Despite the fact that it the evenings main activity was picking up rubish they all seemed to have a fantastic time. It is amazing what you can find when you go litter-picking. Thomas found a large dolls head in the hedge and a small group picked up what must have amounted to tweo hundren cigarette buts from around the bench.

After only 15 minutes there was a good black-sac-load of rubish collected and a further 15 minutes was spent running up and down the BMX track!

Chapel Trip 2011 is to Cromer

This year’s Chapel Trip is to Cromer on the 31st of August 2010.

The coach will be picking up from the bus stop in the village at 9.00am and in Cromer for the return journey at 5.00pm

The cost will be £7.50 for adults, £5 for children and £6 for pensioners.

Emmanuel Missions Uganda Presentation

John and Christine Pike came to Burston Chapel on Sunday 20th September. They gave a presentation about Emmanuel Christian School in Nsaalu in the Masaka District of Uganda. They shared about the successes and the challenges of the the school. The stories of some of the children who attend the school were very moving.

They also told of the dedication and committment of Noel Kelly and his wife Stella who’ve given their retirement years to oversee the work of the school.
